Mythical champagne
Bright presentation. Satin label, on which the name of
the cuvée is embossed. Emblematic
jewel wire.
Aspect:
Gold, brilliant.
Delicate and tonic bubbles.
Fine bead of bubbles.
Nose:
Outstanding aromatic variations.
Refined touches of apple and pear compote,
candied citrus fruits, grilled almond and hazelnut, delicately spirituous,
highlighted by a spark of exotic fruits and by a mentholated breath,
characteristic signs of the Chardonnay.
Later, the cuvée reveals all its sensuality with joyful notes of cocoa and
roasted coffee, result of 9 years of ageing of the bottles in the deep chalk
cellars of the house.
Palate:
The heady tension and minerality show the
vital force of the Champagne house at the opening, the one of the Grands Crus
of the Côte des Blancs (57% Avize and 38% Le Mesnil-sur-Oger) completed by the
Premier Cru terroir of
Villers-Marmery in the Mountain of Reims.
The mouth becomes caressing, ample and
generous, source of intense pleasure.
Interminable finish underlined by subtle
spices.
With
this new opus of the cuvée Amour de
Deutz 2008, Michel Davesne, cellar master of the Champagne house Deutz, signs a
magnificent champagne: words suddenly seem ludicrous….
Ideal to accompany the exceptional moments,
from aperitif to meal, with a pan-fried fillet of sea bass and its leeks
fondue, for example.

Deutz, visionary, convinced of the absolute necessity to ensure the grapes
quality selecting them in the best Crus, founded the eponymous house in Aÿ in
1838. True to the original concept, Fabrice Rosset is chief executive officer
of the Champagne house Deutz since 1996. He has special relationships with partner
wine growers to get a 245 hectares vineyard (Deutz owns 42 hectares) established
in the best terroirs of Champagne
(80% of Grands and Premiers Crus). With the complicity of his cellar master
Michel Davesne, he crafts with accuracy unforgettable champagnes.
