Champagne J. Charpentier - Millésime 2009 Brut

Guide VERON des Champagnes 2021
(around 27 euros per bottle)

Aspect:

Gold, dense and brilliant.

Festive farandole of fine bubbles.

Nose:

Radiant and captivating.

The aromas of jammy red and black fruits, signatures of the black varietals (25% of Pinot Noir and 25% of Meunier) gently combine with elegant scents of white fruits, citrus fruits and white flowers, characteristic signs of the Chardonnay (50%).
Palate:

The bright vitality, obtained by the adjusted dosage with only 5 g/L of sugar added at disgorgement, reveals the fullness, characteristic sign of the long ageing of the bottles on laths (9 years), reinforced by the vinification of a part of the base wines in oak casks.

For this Millésime 2009, Jean-Marc Charpentier, wine grower and œnologist, blends with sensitivity the beautiful terroirs of the Marne Valley (Châtillon-sur-Marne, Le Breuil, Binson-Orquigny, Mareuil-le-Port and Verneuil).
