Sober and luxurious presentation.
Aspect:
Golden and bright, coupled with emerald
glints.
Evanescent bubbles.
Elegant corolla of bubbles, persistent.
Nose:
Perfumed, sensual and endless harmony.
The Chardonnay, exclusive varietal of the cuvée, takes us with its outstanding
scents of white fruits, citrus fruits, apricot and grape, almond and hazelnut.
Later, it becomes radiant, intense and
generous, with its fragrances of honey and pastries, signatures of the fullness
of the champagne obtained by 6 years of ageing in bottles, with patient
autolysis of the prise de mousse
yeasts, before riddling and disgorgement.
Palate:
Life-giving opening, reinforced by the
selection of the first juices, more lively, during the soft pressing of the
grapes, highlighted by a heady minerality, the one from the noble terroirs of origin of the grapes,
harvested by hand in 2010 between Côte des Blancs, Damery in the Marne Valley
and the Vitryat.
The mouth becomes gentle, creamy, supported
by the silky effervescence.
Balanced finish, still mineral.
Remarkable length on the palate.
For this Grand Blanc de Blancs 2010, Bertrand
Lhopital, executive director of the Champagne house J. De Telmont and Sylvie
Collas, cellar master, were able to draw out the quintessence of the year 2010,
with an unstable meteorology.
Ideal
as an aperitif or during a meal, with a pike and monkfish biscuit with grilled
onion juice, for example.
Under
the leadership of Bertrand Lhopital and his sister Pascale, fourth generation,
the Champagne house J. De Telmont, independent family Champagne house,
continues with passion and dynamism its quest for excellence. A grape supply of
96 hectares chosen in the best Crus and a 33 hectares vineyard, of which 12
hectares are cultivated according to the biodynamy principles, give birth to
high level champagnes, between classics, vintages and the Héritage range of
extremely rare old vintages, disgorged on request, created in 2012 for the
centenary of the house.
