Winegrower at Monthelon, the Champagne Alexandre Le Brun grows with passion its 3-hectare vineyard planted with vines over 40 years old in the municipalities of Montelon, Mancy, Morangis, Chavot-Courcourt, Epernay, Sézanne, Grauves Premier Cru and Chouilly Grand Cru, in the greatest respect for the environment. A precise, intuitive and respectful enology enables him to craft and market approximately 15,000 bottles of Champagnes of character every year.

Sober and original presentation.

Visual aspect:

 

·        Golden.

·        Fine bubbles.

·        Discreet bead of bubbles.

 

Nose:

 

·        Intense, harmonious variations focused on pleasure.

·        Cheering aromas of chrystallised red fruits, signatures of the Pinot Meunier, exclusive grape variety of the cuvée.

·        Delicious scents of cocoa, roasted coffee and blond tobacco, expressions of the maturity of the Champagne obtained by 3 years of ageing on laths of the bottles, before disgorgement.

·        Aromas of spices, result of the wine making and the maturing in oak barrels of less than 5 years of 20% of the base wines, complemented by delicious notes of apple, peach and apricot, certainly due to the very slow alcoholic fermentation of the base wines (4 months), at low temperature (10°C), realized by the indigenous yeasts.

 

Palate:

 

·        Ample first taste with a very low dosage of 4 g/L of sugar added at disgogement.

·        Then the palate becomes deep, dense, almost structured, thanks to the deliberately low at harvest, to get a perfect maturity.

·        Delicious tangy finish.

·        Remarkable length on the palate.

 

With this confidential cuvée Révélation Extra Brut 2009 (1,200 bottles) with an asserted character, Alexandre Le Brun, winegrower, reveals the generosity and the strength of the Pinot Meunier on the terroir of Monthelon, exclusive origin of the grapes.

 

To enjoy during a meal, to pair with a pan-fried veal medallion with truffle sauce, for example.
