Set up in Etoges since 1860, the champagne Verrier et Fils cultivates carefully its 35 plots which compose its 10 hectare vineyard, planted between Epernay and Sezanne, to elaborate and market 30 000 bottles of quality champagne each year, under its brand created in 1929.
Luxurious and original presentation in tribute to the wife of the estate's creator.

aspect :
- Golden and lminous, with light tints of green.
- Fine bubbles.

Nose :
- Harmonious, source of an intense pleasure.
- First marked by the chardonnay, exclusive grape
variety of the champagne, with delicate scents of citrus fruits (lime and
grapefruit), apple, pear and white flowers, discreetly mentholated.
- The nose then reveals its sensuality, with hints of butter, caramel, honey and beeswax, expressions of the rising maturity of the cuvee, assorted with an elegant woody scent, with grilled and roasted notes, obtained by the vinification and ageing (6 months) in brand new oak vats of 35% of the base wines.
Palate :
- First classy, thanks to the selection of the
first juices (cuvee) during the pressing of the grapes, the palate then
reveals a salivating balance, served by a smooth voluptuousness, certainly
due to the regular batonnage of the vats ( 3 times a month) during ageing,
but also to the judicious realisation of the malolacic fermentation of the
base wines.
- Beautiful minerality, dense, signatures of the
soils made of belemnite limestone of the Etoges, Etrechy and Ferebrianges
regions.
- Deliciously slightly acid finish.
- Great length in the mouth.
With this cuvee Ismerie, producer Emmanuel Verrier knew how to find the ideal marriage of the wines of 2010 (50%) and of reserve wines (2009 and 2010) to reveal all the potential of his old chardonnay vines exposed south-west.
To enjoy during a meal with friends, to accompany a seafood platter, for example.
