Aspect:
Golden and
crystal-clear.
Fine and dynamic
bubbles.

Nose:
Gourmet, it takes us
into a sensual and endless aromatic waltz.
Joyful farandole of red
and black fruits coupled with reserved spices, inimitable signatures of the
Pinot Noir, exclusive varietal of the cuvée.
Later, the nose is
revealed caressing, with gentle aromas of honey and caramel, barely roasted,
expressions of the fullness of the Champagne obtained by 4 years of ageing on
laths of the bottles, with slow autolysis of the prise de mousse yeasts.
Palate:
Remarkable presence at
the opening, enhanced by the heady minerality, characteristic sign of the Grand
Cru terroir of Bouzy.
The reserved power,
highlighted by soft bitter notes and supported by an enveloping effervescence,
unveils generous flavours of red fruits.
Deliciously acidulous
finish, thanks to the rigorous selection of the best juices during the pressing
of the grapes and to the adjusted dosage with only 6 g/L of sugar added at
disgorgement.
Impressive length on the
palate.
For this Blanc de Noirs
Brut Grand Cru Quintessence du Pinot Noir, Philippe Secondé, œnologist, was
able to compose the inspired blending of the base wines from his plots selected
in Bouzy, with the right balance of reserve wines, to enhance the soul of the
Pinot Noir.
To taste during festive
meals, with a mallard duck and orange, for example.
Founded in 1874 by
Edmond Barnaut, the Champagne House Barnaut tries its hardest to reveal year
after year, wonders of nature. Philippe
Secondé, experienced wine grower and talented œnologist, and his wife Laurette
have successfully transmitted their passion for Champagne to their son
Guillaume, sixth generation, who will join them to cultivate the 17 hectares
vineyard and to produce with accuracy around 100,000 bottles of authentic
Champagnes per year.
