Mythical Champagne
Luxurious and original
numbered bottle (black metallic).
Aspect:
Copper-coloured and
bright.
Fine bubbles.
Delicate bead of foam.
Nose:
Radiant and endless
aromatic harmony.
Heady scents of candied
red and black fruits, signatures of the majority of Pinot Noir (55%) and
exclusive varietal of the red wine (15% of this blended rosé), vinified by
traditional maceration of the perfectly ripe grapes.
Later, the maturity of
the cuvée is revealed with notes of
pastries and roasted coffee, result of 8 years of patient ageing on laths of
the bottles in the deep cellars of the House, before disgorgement.
Palate:
Life-giving opening,
obtained by the selection of the purest juices (tête de cuvée) during the soft pressing of the grapes, highlighted
by the radiant minerality of le Clos du Moulin plot (2.2 hectares), implanted
Premier Cru and of which soils are cultivated by animal power.
Sensual, dense and
elegant balance, with flavours of white fruits and citrus fruits thanks to the
Chardonnay (45%), driven by the lively effervescence.
Deliciously acidulous
finish, barely spicy.
Remarkable length on the
palate.
For this Clos du Moulin
Rosé Brut Multivintage Premier Cru, Alexandre Cattier was able to blend with
talent vintages (2006, 2007 and 2008), varietals and white and red wines, to
offer us an unmissable Champagne.
Ideal to accompany your
intimate moments, from aperitif to meal, with a salmon marinated with mint, for
example.
Directed since 2011 by
Alexandre Cattier, œnologist, the Champagne House Cattier continues in
Chigny-les-Roses the family saga started in 1650. The House is based on its
vineyard of 33 hectares mainly classified as premier Cru, in which le Clos du
Moulin acquired in 1951, cultivated in the greatest respect of the environment,
to produce with passion around 1 million bottles per year of a range of
exceptional Champagnes and to establish its style in over 80 countries.
