Original bottle with generous forms.
Aspect:
Gold, coupled with ruby red glints.
Very fine bubbles.
Eminent bead of bubbles.
Nose:
Radiant, it takes us into a endless aromatic whirl.
Delicate fragrances of apple, pear, hazelnut, apricot and
grape, delicious expressions of the Chardonnay (30%).
Later, the black varietals (40% of Meunier and 30% of Pinot
Noir) are unveiled with scents of kirsch and red and black fruits.
Patience is rewarded by the appearance improbable touchs of
honey, light tobacco and cocoa, expressions of the well-defined maturity
obtained by 6 years of ageing on laths of the bottles, before disgorgement.
Palate:
Refreshing opening thanks to the adjusted dosage with only 6
g/L of sugar added at disgorgement, driven by a tasty minerality.
The mouth then becomes radiant, warm, highlighted by the soft
and creamy effervescence.
Silky finish, supported by the adjusted woody notes, barely
spicy and roasted, result of 10 months of traditional ageing in oak barrels.
Remarkable length on the palate.
With this cuvée
Mémoire of Vignerons Extra Brut, Damien Augé, œnologist wine grower, was able
to accompany with passion grapes harvested by hand in 2010, vinified with
gentleness, without racking or cooling, in the deep respect of the ancestral
traditions, to offer a vibrant homage to his grandfather Marcel and to his
father Jean-Paul.
To taste as an aperitif, or during festive meals with a
roasted wild turbot and shellfishes, for example.
From a long line of wine growers, Damien Augé, œnologist by training,
has been perpetuating the family champenois
traditions since 2004. He cultivates with care his vineyard of 8.5 hectares,
mainly planted with Meunier (88%), with the real desire to reduce the
environmental footprint, to offer us each year around 60,000 bottles of a range
of Champagnes with personality, marketed under the brand founded in 1947.
