Neat and bright bottle.
Aspect:
Golden and brilliant.
Delicate bubbles.
Fine bead of bubbles.
Nose:
Radiant aromatic harmony, source of intense
pleasure.
Scents of apple, pear and citrus fruits,
driven by a breath of mint, signatures of the Chardonnay (50%) selected in the
Premiers Crus terroirs of Pierry and
Hautvillers.
The champagne then reveals its maturity with
sensual touches of caramel and pastries thanks to three years of ageing on
laths of the bottles before riddling and disgorgement.
Later, the Meunier (30%) chosen in
Brugny-Vaudancourt and the Pinot Noir (20%) from old vines of Vertus, in the
Côte des Blancs, and Vinay in the vallée of Marne, are unveiled with scents of
red and black fruits.
Palate:
Outstanding purity, definitely obtained by
the rigorous selection of the first juices (cuvée)
during the pressing of the grapes.
The mouth becomes caressing and sensual,
reinforced by the fulfilment of the malolactic fermentation of the base wines
on fine yeasts lees and by the accurate dosage, with 6 g/L of grape sugar added
at disgorgement.
Deliciously acidulous finish.
Great length on the palate.
With this cuvée Grand Brut, Benoit Hugot, wine grower, was able to blend the
base wines from 2013 (50%) and from 2014 (50%) to sign a joyful champagne, with
a very good value for money.
To taste from aperitif to
meal, with a sirloin steak on plancha, for example.

traditions within the eponymous Champagne house founded in 1970 by his father
André, to Brugny-Vaudancourt. A vineyard of 5.20 hectares, cultivated in the
greatest respect of the environment in the most beautiful terroirs of the southern slopes of Epernay (Vinay, Moussy,
Brugny-Vaudancourt and Pierry), the great Marne Valley (Hautvillers) and the
Côte des Blancs (Vertus and Bergères-lès-Vertus), and a gentle and accurate
vinification, give birth each year to around 8,000 bottles of champagnes with
personality.
