Luxurious bottle, with a sober and bright label. Name evocative of the
purity of the first grape juices during the pressing.
Aspect:
Golden
and crystal-clear.
Delicate bubbles.
Fine bead of foam,
regular.
Nose:
Touching
harmony of radiant scents.
The
aromas of apple and pear compote, candied citrus fruits and white flowers,
heady signatures of the majority of Chardonnay, alternate with the generous
fragrances of red and black fruits, punctuated by subtle spices, characteristic
signs of the Pinot Noir (over 30%) and Meunier.
Later,
the fullness of champagne is revealed with generous roasted touches of coffee
and cocoa, obtained by a long ageing on laths of the bottles before riddling
and disgorgement.
Palate:
The
vertiginous purity immediately takes us, result of the perfect control of the
soft pressing of the grapes with rigorous selection of the juices from the
first pressing (80% of cuvée),
traditional champenois distribution.
The
mouth becomes caressing and sensual, improbable balance, underlined by the
creamy effervescence.
We
find again the citrus fruits at the end, supported by an outstanding vital
force and driven by the vibrant minerality.
Remarkable
length on the palate.
With La Cuvée, Michel
Fauconnet, cellar master of the Champagne house Laurent-Perrier, was able to
orchestrate with sensitivity the meeting of the base wines from over
100 Crus of Champagne, to sublimate all the finesse and offer us an
unforgettable moment of grace.
To
taste from aperitif to meal, with a roasted chicken and foie gras, for example.
Founded

its inimitable style. True to the original values of Bernard of Nonancourt,
Michel Fauconnet, third cellar master of the house, crafts with talent a range
of rare champagnes, full of elegance, patiently aged on laths, in
Tours-sur-Marne in the 800 metres cellars of the house.
