Champagne Bouché Père et Fils - Millésime 2006

Elegant and luxurious bottle.

Aspect:

Solar and festive.

Delicate bubbles.

Generous tears.

Nose:

Endless farandole of joyful aromas.

The scents of candied citrus fruits, nice ripe apple and pear, signatures of the Chardonnay (30%) gently embrace the touches of red and black fruits and spices, confident expressions of the Pinot Noir (70%).

Later, the nose opens up, captivating, with sensual touches of honey and then of roasted coffee, revelations of the maturity of the champagne obtained by 11 years of patient ageing on laths of the bottles, before riddling and disgorgement.

Palate:

Delicious and lively vitality at the opening, definitely obtained by the selection of the best juices during the soft pressing of the grapes, driven by the particular minerality of sand and chalk.

The mouth becomes caressing, warm and creamy, thanks to the accurate dosage with 7 g/L of sugar added at disgorgement, highlighted by the subtle effervescence.

Dense finish, deliciously acidulous, underlined by delicate spices, perhaps the outstanding characteristic sign of the ageing of the expedition liqueur in oak barrels.

Endless length on the palate.

For this Millésime 2006, Nicolas Bouché, engineer and œnologist, was able to accompany with sensitivity selected grapes, harvested by hand in 2006, to glorify the heady personality of this beautiful year. 

To taste from aperitif to meal, with a gizzard salad and warm goat cheese, for example.

Son and heir to 3 generations of wine growers, Nicolas Bouché presides with passion over the destiny of the Champagne house Bouché Père et Fils founded in 1920 by his great-grandfather. He cultivates with care his 30 hectares vineyard composed of old plots of vines well-exposed in 9 selected terroirs, of which 75% are classified as Premiers and Grands Crus, to vinify with talent, between the modern stainless steel fermenting room and the new barrel storehouse, around 250,000 bottles per year of inspired champagnes, patiently ripened in the cellars of the house.
